Many believers have traditional narrow perspective on worship and associate it exclusively with singing at a church service. By not attending a service they may then feel guilty because they didn’t worship God that week.
However Scripture teaches that true worship is not just expressed by what we sing, but all the more by what we do.
“Away with your hymns of praise, they are only noise to my ears. I will not listen to your music, no matter how lovely it is”. Amos 5: 23-24
For those who have not understood what consummate worship is, the words of Jesus may apply.
“These people draw near to Me with their mouths, and honor Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me. In vain they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men. Matt 15:8,9
