In some circles there is teaching which tells us that we need to be “covered” by a particular church or denomination, which in turn provides some form of spiritual protection.For those Christians who are not in a traditional church structure, the question is often asked is, “Who is your covering?”
In other circles, the word “covering” may not be used, but the message conveyed is that by simply being a member of a particular organization or group, some form of spiritual security or protection is provided.
